He arrived in the colony in October 1841 age 19 on the Ganges with his parents and four siblings. His occupation was Ploughman and his religion was Protestant.
In May 1846 he possibly married S Wood b 1821.
In 1851 he married Ann Connor in Pinjarra.
In April 1878 he was farming on the Collie River near Williams when he had a beast stolen and butchered.
In August 1878 he drowned while trying to cross Williams River on horseback at night after attending a District Roads Board meeting at Williams. His body was not recovered until 19/8/1878.
