James Pollard was born in about 1762 in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire. He was the son of John Pollard and Mary Farrow[1].
In 1791 he married Elizabeth Stevenson in Fenny Stratford, Buckinghamshire,[2] and they had 5 children: Ann (b.c.1792), John (b.c.1793, d.1806), Kitty (b.c.1796, d.1811), Samuel Stevenson (b.1797, d.1858) and Jemima (b.c.1799, d.1888).
