James Pollard was born in the Village of Cocking, Sussex, England.
Biography
James is born around June 1744 in the Village of Cocking, in the Chichester district, about three miles (5 km) south of the Market Town of Midhurst, and north of the county Town of Chichester, in West Sussex, England. On the 30 June 1744, he is baptized at the Parish Church, in the Village of Cocking, Parish of Cocking, in west Sussex, England[1].
His parents are James (Pollard) and Sarah (possibly Hinshett or Kinshett), who married on the 20 December 1739 at the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity, Bosham Lane, in the county Town of Chichester, on Chichester Harbour, Parish of Chichester, in West Sussex, England[2]. James and Sarah (Pollard) had the following children:
- Sarah (March 1740 in Cocking, Sussex)
- Jane (July 1742)
- James (June 1744)
Could have been married to Ann Soulter as found in familysearch but his DOB is very different than this profile here. So, left as a crumb. If it is determined Ann is his wife, there is more to her tree in familysearch.
