James M. Pollard, son of James c. Pollard and Catherine Isgrigg, was a bad seed. Fold3.com information provides that he was a rebel and shot dead on 11 March 1864 for escaping arrest. He was a Confederate and arrested by the Union, sent to Gratiot Street Prison, St. Louis District, Missouri because he was accused of horse stealing, 23 May 1863. Released upon oath and payment of bond of $1,000, May 30, 1863. Paroled 8 Aug 1863. Shot dead 11 Mar 1864 resisting arrest. [4]
