Appeared in the 1900 U. S. Census in Mentor & Wilmot townships, Cheboygan, Michigan, United States. The household included: William age 54, occupation sawmill, farmer; Anna age 52; John age 27, occupation partner; Florence age 8; George Kesler age 45, boarder, occupation day laborer; Edward Mapes age 40, boarder, occupation teamster; James Black age 22, boarder, laborer, mill; Albert Wahl age 22, boarder, occupation laborer, mill; Jay Botsford age 17, boarder, occupation laborer, mill; Henry Black age 20, boarder, occupation laborer, mill; Bert Vancleave age 23, boarder, occupation laborer, mill; Byron Botsford age 16, boarder, occupation laborer, mill.
