Who is the mother of Edward Pomeroy? We do not have a mother for Edward Pomeroy. The Eleanor, who was buried in Symondsbury in 1612 was called Eleanor Pomeroy alias Wrixon, widow of Richard Pomeroy alias Wrixon. If they were the parents of Edward, Henry or Eltweed Pomeroy they would have been called Pomeroy alias Wrixon. In addition, The name Eleanor Coker as mother of Edward, Henry or Eltweed Pomeroy at Beaminster is not supported by any documentation and is probably a typo. There was an Eleanor Coker married to Richard Pomeroy of Bowden at Totnes before 1518.
