Canandaigua: Leon Pombrio formerly of Sciota, died Friday Dec. 14, 1990 at the Veterans Administration Hospital.

He was born in Sciota Oct. 10, 1920 the son of Edouard Pontbriand and Margaret Dowd. Mr. Pombrio was a graduate of Mooers High School in 1938 and attended Plattsburgh Normal School. Syracuse University and Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. where he studied accounting, his life long occupation.

He was at one time a purchasing agent at Plattsburgh Air Force Base, among his many positions in several different areas of the country. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
