Biography

New evidence has shown that Isaac's father was probably Isaac Pool from South Carolina. 1830 Perry cty. Alabama Census shows an Isaac Pool, age 60-70 , living there. In his household living with him was a male age 20-30 (Isaac age would have been 24), 3 males under six, James, John and Bryant. One female age 20-30 (Mary) and one female 60-70 (mother). The household previous is Allen Avery. A few pages previous appears Adam Lagrone and JKC Pool. The Lagrone and Pool families inter married and later migrated to Texas together. The closeness and association of these families is well documented in Texas. Isaac's brothers were probably Thomas Avery Pool, Gabriel Leander Pool, John and sister, Lucinda Pool Rhodes. This new information should help to clear up the confusion between the two Isaac's from Perry county Alabama.

Milam Co., TX. - Newspaper: Cameron Herald 1895 Newspaper, July 1895 Cameron, Texas Died at the home of Grandpa Pool, 2-miles south of Buckholts, Allen Lagrone of Merkel, Taylor Co. He was born in Perry Co., Alabama on March 17, 1832 and married to Louisa Pool in Dec.1857; after which he moved to this county, near Cameron. In 1890, he moved near Merkely, Taylor Co. Last June, he and his wife came to visit her father and he was taken sick soon after. He leaves a wife and children. Mrs. Lagrone and Mr. & Mrs. R. F. Pool of Milano, left on Monday night to return home with the corpse.

note-- there continues to be some confusion between two Isaac M. Pool men, see also Pool-1664 for the other Isaac M. Pool: There are at least two Isaac M. Pool men (same name, both born in "up state" SC, and born within 6 years of each other)-- one went to Alabama and one went first to Alabama then to Pontotoc, Miss and later to Texas. This updated profile shows this man as parents "unknown"-- this is based on , a review of data including the 1850 and 1860 US Census indicates that the son of John and Muhulda went to Alabama and this "Texas bound" Isaac M. Pool is a different man. .

Issac Pool was the son of John Pool, b.1758 of Edgefield County, South Carolina. d.1839 in Sumter County Alabama and Mahulda Ann Holloway of South Carolina, died 1826 in Hale County Alabama.
