Deborah Poole was born and baptized at Abington, Massachusetts on June 17, 1772.[1] She was a descendant of Mayflower passengers John Alden and Myles Standish.[2][3] She married Thomas Hearsey on February 7, 1793, at Bridgewater, Massachusetts.[4]
She passed away on December 18, 1857, at Minot, Maine. [5]

Yes, the gravestone at North Auburn Cemetery, next to her son Loring, is believed to be a Cenotaph or Memorial Stone. She was buried in the Herseyville Cemetery, a few miles away, at the time of her death. As her stone is still in it’s original location it is probable that her body was not moved to North Auburn where several of her sons and grandchildren are buried.
