Mary was born on 16 Jan 1841, the second child of Benjamin and Catherine Poole [1] and the first of their children born in Australia, just 11 months after they arrived on the Earl Grey in February 1840.
Mary Poole died in November 1921 and is buried in St David's Catholic cemetery in Kurrajong. [2]
