My grandmother was Nellie Pool, daughter of Benjamin Franklin Pool. I have worked from Ephraim Pool back to England. Ephraim Jr. was in the Rev. War. Ephraim Sr. was AKA Pettypool. There was a name change after his generation. You are really Pettypool, Pettipool, P'Pool and probably more. Go to Ephraim Pettypool and you can get to the 1300s and find more relatives. There are many. The first in the US was William Pettypool, son of Sir Samuel Pettypool of England. There is a Pettypool Project that you can print. It gives the entire rundown.
