Name:

Marion I Poole. Daughter of Douglas Poole Betty Brooks

Born

JUL 1955–SEP 1955. Hampstead, London, England.[1] [2]

Arrival in Australia

November 23 1964 [3]

Marriage and Divorce

Marion married Gregory Wayne Knight 9 April 1983, at 158 Peachey Rd, Elizabeth Fields, South Australia.

They had one child, a son, in 1988.

They divorced 1997.

In 2009, just before my mother’s 80th birthday she brought up the wish to look up her family history. Together we managed to do some, but had limited access to internet. Sadly she never got to do much more. What with the illness and death of her husband (my step-father) followed by the re-occurrence and metastasizing of her cancer, it was abandoned. In 2014 she passed away and only now (2018) do I feel ready to pick it up again. I hope to do her proud and leave a legacy for my son.

Hi Marion

I would to thank you for all your contributions towards the goals of the England Project during the past six months. We've achieved a huge amount during this period and we couldn't have done it without you and our other project members.

As the England Project Leaders, we are completing our six monthly check-in with all project members.

Are you happy to stay in your current project teams? Which teams are you most active in? Are there other teams you would like to join or become more active in?

Also, do you have any feedback on what the project is doing well and anything we could do better in the future?

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message. I look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks!

Joan, England Project Leader

Hi Joan, I am happy to keep doing Buckinghamshire, Data Doctor and Arborist, thanks Marion

Hi Marion

Wishing you a Happy and prosperous New Year. Thank you for all the work you have done to improve the English profiles on wikitree.

Just checking in with you to ask if you wish to remain a member of the England Data Doctor Team. Appreciate it if you could let me know

Hi Marion,

It's that time of the year again: check-in time! As England Project Leaders, we like to check in with you every six months or so to see how things are progressing. Back in May, we didn't ask for a response due to the rapid emergence of Covid-19 because we understood that people's lives were changing rapidly. While we are still living in a Covid world, we do need to hear back from you this time around

First of all, how are you doing? What are you currently working on? Are you happy with the team(s) you're in, or would you like to change things up?

Secondly, we're looking for some feedback on the Google Group and our Discord server. Do you use either or both of these? If you don't use either, why not? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve participation and collaboration, either generally or for you personally?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Lizzie, Amy, Joan

England Project Leaders

I am still trying to be active in Data Doctors, Buckinghamshire and Arborists. A little slower for the time being. I am slowly working through the privacy protected approved merges (worldwide- seemed petty to single out England only). Would like to learn how to do more suggestions, but that will have to wait.

I use Discord a lot, Google groups less, but get the emails to keep updated. Am happy to continue as I am, thanks
