Biography

Leonard L. Pooler was born on August 6, 1902 in Bangor, Penobscot, Maine. He was the son of Alfred and Mary Catherine (Lynch) Pooler.

Leonard married Anne M. Hodgins on May 25, 1925 in Bangor. In 1930 (per1930 Fed. Census), Leonard's household of 7 included himself as head of household (age 28); wife Anne M. (age 31); Mark L. (age 3); Jacqueline N. (age 2); Elizabeth J. (age 1); Mary L. (age 0). Concerning Mary L., it maybe that her mother was pregnant with her on the day of the Census, which was conducted on April 8, 1930. Mary L. was born about 3 months following the Census report.

In 1940 (Fed. Census), Leonard's household of 10 include: self, head of household (age 37); wife Anne M. (age 40); Mary L. age 13; Jacqueline (age 12); Jane (age 11); Mary Lou (age 10); Gregory (age 8); Constance (age 7); Bridgid (age 6); and Judith (age 1).

Leonard passed away in Bangor on March 16, 1961. He is buried at the Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery in Bangor (Section VIII Lot 156).
