Research Note The daughter born in 1706, unnamed in the surviving vital record, seems likely to be the Lucy Austin who married Asie/Asa Swan (as his second wife) in Methuen on 6 Feb 1734-5.[5] Lucy, w. Asie, died in Methuen 10 Jun 1764 in the 59 year of her age. (mistranscribed as 56 y. in the printed vital records.[6] Those gravestone numbers suggest she was born between 10 June 1705 and 9 June 1706, within which lies the birthday of the unnamed daughter. And no other daughter named Lucy was born to her mother, Lucy Poore Austin. Therefore, until overturned by other evidence, she is identified as Lucy Austin, who married Asa Swan.
