Thomas was born in 1931. He passed away in 1979. Service with 82nd Airborne. Korean War Service: PFC with A Co. [Unk. Regiment] 7th Infantry Division. Prior Korean War Service as PFC with 728th MP Co. (Aug 1951); Requested transfer to 62nd Engineer Battalion. After a "winter of welding", transferred to 73rd Tank Battalion as a Scout. After three months, transferred to A Co. [unk. Reg.] 7th Infantry Div. for remainder of Korean War service. Recipient of the Combat Infantry Badge (CIB), Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. Participant in VII Corps' Exercise Westwind in southern Bavaria (post 1954) Stationed in Munich, Germany SGT.
