Biography
Elizabeth was born in about 1555.
She was named in the 1558 will of her grandfather Thomas Packer of Cheltenham. [1]
On 3 Nov 1578 she married Richard Pope at Leigh, Gloucestershire. [2]
Elizabeth and Richard had at least four children baptised at Leigh:
- Joan (1579)
- Joan (1580)
- John (1580)
- Richard (1582)
In 1582, Elizabeth was the main beneficiary in the will of her husband Richard Pope. [3]
On 4 May 1583, Elizabeth remarried. Her second husband was Richard Higges. [4]
Elizabeth and Richard had at least six children baptised at Leigh:
- Richard (1584)
- Rowland (1585)
- Barnaby (1587)
- Margaret (1589)
- Edmund (1590)
- Elizabeth (1590)
- Thomas (1593)
Elizabeth died in 1628 and was buried at Leigh on 1 Sep in that year. [5]
