Walter Pope was born about 1609; location unknown but presumably in England; parents unknown. His birth date is based on land being purchased in 1630.
He migrated to New England in 1630, residing at Charlestown, Massachusetts Bay Colony where, according to the 1630 list of inhabitants of Charlestown, he bought John Wignall's house and land.
He signed the petition to establish the Charlestown selectmen on February 10, 1634/5.
He married Eleanor _____ about 1640.
Walter Pope died about 1640.
His widow married (2nd) Richard Miller by about 1641; later by 1651 she had married Henry Herbert (or Harberd).
