Born in Burlington, NY, Dec 29, 1798; m. Jul 19, 1818, Frances, daughter of Harrison Westover and Abigail Eaton of Edmeston, NY (b. Jun 22, 1798 at New Haven, CN; d. Jun 4, 1885 at Forestville, NY) He was a farmer living in Burlington, and Columbus, NY until 1823 or 1824 when he moved to the town of Villanova, Chautauqua, Co., NY. He died in Hanover, NY Sep 12, 1878. Children, the first three born in Columbus and the rest in Villanova: v. ALMOND, b. Jun 11, 1826; d. Nov 18, 1902. On Jul 3, 1846, he married Lucy Wright who died June 23, 1875. They had three children: Frances L., Jennie P., and Gates Horatio. Frances L. married a man by the name of Strong and had two daughters, Eva and Edith Strong. Frances died May 3, 1911. Jennie P., married a man by the name of Hubbard and has two sons, Clarence W., and Carleton E. Hubbard. Gates Horatio died April 3, 1904. He left three children, Sisie, Pearl and Cleo, who is now sixteen years old. Almond married for second wife Martha Melvin, on Dec 5, 1875. [175] vi. BETSEY ELIZABETH, b. Mar 31, 1828; d.
