He married Susannah Philp on June 3, 1902 at the Parish Church of Whitchurch. She was 26, a spinster and her father's name was John Philp, farmer. Charles was 27, a bachelor, a house painter and his father's name was Thomas Pope, deceased. Both signed the parish register and witnesses were John Philp and Mary Philp.[2]
According to his Probate record, Charles died May 14, 1858 at Freedom Fields Hospital in Plymouth, Devon.[3]
