Biography

John married firstly Elizabeth Wheatley, secondly Alice Bates, the mother of his children, and thirdly Jane Rishworth.^[1]

Research notes

His 3nd wife Jane must have been much younger. Looks like she married an old man to finish him off and cash in, which is just the sort of thing you'd expect of her.

In his will (dated April 22 1616, proved July 16 1616), he refers to Matthew Wentworth and Francis Burdett as cousins.
