Biography
Dorothea was born in 1872. Dorothea Popp ... She passed away in 1961. [1]
She is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, in Kew Gardens, NY. Her plot is with her son-in-law's Eric Anderson (husband of daughter Martha) Deed 1398, Lot #102, #1. No stone.
Her daughter Kathryn was named after her older sister Catarina (Kathryn)
One aside that I did not include in her attached "bio" was that she and some of her children were to go on a church outing on a ship on the Hudson - or East River in NYC. Grandpa didn't like the looks of the weather and insisted she not go. She didn't, and was saved by providence because the ship, loaded with parents and children caught fire and over 1,200 lost their lives!
