Marianne Porcher was the daughter of Isaac Porcher and Claude de Cherigny, Huguenot immigrants to the Province of Carolina.
She married Francis Cordes as his first wife, but they apparently had no children.[1]
Marianne was living when her father wrote his Will in September 1726.[2]
In the list of Huguenot immigrants compiled in 1696, Isaac Porcher lists his children as Isaac, Pierre, Elizabeth, Madeleine, and Claude, born in England and in Carolina. No children named Madeleine or Claude appear in his Will. Unless Marianne is the daughter called Madeleine, she was born after this list was made.[3]
