- J. A. M. Porter, 58 years old, a resident of Shreveport for many years, died at his residence, 1204 Texas avenue, Sunday morning at 11:15 o'clock. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Dr. M. E. Dodd, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in Summer Grove cemetery. He is survived by his widow, two sons, C. M. and R. A. Porter, of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. F. F. Brossett, of Shreveport, Mrs. C. W. Thorn of Vivian, La., also three sisters, Mrs. S. J. Connell of Shreveport, Mrs. J. W. King of Joaquin, Texas, and Mrs. J. S. McCollum of Burkburnett, Texas, and one brother, J. M. Porter of McAlester, Okla.
