Biography
Joseph was born 1 May 1856 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Charles Porter and Charlotte Bennet. [1] He passed away 4 May 1927 after being shot in the abdomen by a friend who mistook him for a chicken thief. He died of shock and peritonitis. He was 71 years old. [2]
