Biography

Robert Porter was born in 1740 in Cecil, Maryland, his father, John, was 20 and his mother, Eleanor, was 19.

He married Margaret Lindsay Ewing on May 27, 1764. They had six children in 11 years. He died on August 6, 1781, in Montgomery, Virginia, at the age of 41.
