Ann Porter was born in about 1797 in Prescot, Lancashire.

Ann married John Parr on 20 Sep 1818 at Rainford Chapel of Ease in the parish of Prescot, Lancashire. Both were of the local parish, and neither had been married before; John was a tailor. The witnesses were Ann Ince and John Penketh.

Their daughter Jane was christened on 25 Dec 1819 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. Her father's occupation was recorded as tailor, and the family's address as Eccleston.

Their daughter Ann was christened on 12 Jan 1823 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. Her father's occupation was recorded as tailor, and the family's address as Eccleston.

Their son John was christened on 22 May 1825 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. His father's occupation was recorded as tailor, and the family's address as Eccleston.

Their son William was christened on 21 Oct 1827 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. His father's occupation was recorded as tailor, and the family's address as Eccleston.

Their son Thomas was christened on 13 Mar 1831 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. His father's occupation was recorded as tailor, and the family's address as Eccleston.
