The birth of Martha Ellen Porter was registered in Q2 1901 in the District of Cricklade, Wiltshire, daughter of Porter/Painter.[1]
Martha Ellen Porter was baptised on 04 Mar 1900 at Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, daughter of Samuel, an Engine Driver, and Elizabeth, of "Kingway near Malmesbury", Wiltshire. Her date of birth was recorded with the baptism entry as 13 Dec? 1899.[2] It would appear that there was a delay before Martha's registration of birth.
1901: Martha Ellen Porter resident at Kingway, Hullavington, Wiltshire, age 1, born Hullavington, living with parents Samuel and Elizabeth.[3]
1911: Martha Ellen Porter resident at Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, age 11, born 'Kingsway', Wiltshire, living with her grandfather John Painter.[4]
Martha Ellen Porter age 28, Spinster of 44 Church St., Wootton Bassett, married Sidney Page age 24, bachelor, Motor Driver of 9 Vale View, Wootton Bassett, on 04 Aug 1928 at Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire. Father's name was Samuel Porter.[5]

Martha Ellen Porter was my grandaunt, sister to my Grandfather Charles Wolstan John Porter. Martha's parents were Samuel Jonathan Porter and Elizabeth Mary Painter.
Martha was born on the 13 Dec 1899 in Wootton Bassett, baptised on 6 Mar 1900; and died on 31 Dec 1961 in Wootton Bassett. She had two brothers, Charles and Frederick along with two sisters, Rose Winifred and Florence May.
Martha and Sidney had one daughter, Marie Ellen Page.
Marie Ellen Page married Frederick Ewart Sims in Swindon, Wiltshire, in August 1952. To my knowledge they didn't have any children together. Marie Ellen died in April 1970 in Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, aged 39 years old. Frederick died on 15 March 1995 also in Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire.
