Biography

James Belden Porter, born 5 Jun 1792 at Williamsburg, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, was a son of Sarah (Nims; 1759-1851) & David Porter (1757-1815) [1].

He married 12 Dec 1818 at Hinsdale, Massachusetts, Laurinda (Bridgman; 1794-1874). About eight children may have proceeded from this union:

The 1860 U.S. census recorded this family in Freedom Township, Portage County, Ohio [2].

James Belden Porter died 26 Oct 1864. His grave is in Drakesburg Cemetery, Drakesburg, Portage County, Ohio, USA [3].
