Celia was born on Nov 19, 1856 in Greene county, Illinois.[1] She was the daughter of Lewis and Canzada (Grizzle) Portwood. She was listed in the household of her parents in the 1860 and 1870 census.[2][3] On Mar 4, 1875, she married Robert Shaw in Eldred, Greene, Illinois.[4] In the 1880 census, Celia was listed in the household of her mother.[5] Celia died on Mar 10, 1888 in Greene county, Illinois.[1] She was buried in the Stith Cemetery in Carrollton Township, Greene, Illinois.[1]
