DALLASTOWN Margaret P. "Peg" (Posey) Geesey, 101, entered into rest after a brief illness on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 12:55 am at the Lutheran Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Sprenkle Drive. She was the wife of the late Perry F. Geesey, whom she married on August 15, 1931. She was born in High Rock, on June 26, 1910, the daughter of the late John Joseph and Gertrude (Wright) Posey. Early in life she worked in the cigar factories, and during WWII, she worked at the Naval Ordinates. She worked for the Dallastown Area Schools as a secretary for over 20 years. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Dallastown, the longest living member of Rainbow chapter #517 Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the National Retired Teachers Association, and member of AARP. She enjoyed wintering in Florida, while spending the summers in Maine with her husband. She is survived by generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Sprenkle; her twin brother, Albert Posey; and two other brothers, Robert and William Posey. Viewing will be Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The service will follow at 10 a.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. Charles W. Sprenkle, pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Manchester, officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 205 W. Main St., Dallastown, PA 17313.
