Biography

Elisha was a Friend (Quaker)

Elisha was born about 1766 (estimate based on age at death).[1] He was the son of Michael and Elizabeth Post.[1]

He was disowned by the Westbury Monthly Meeting on 30d 1m 1788 for marrying out of society.[2] His wife Sarah appears to have never joined the Society of Friends. Elisha appears to have acknowledged at some point, as his death was recorded by the Jericho Monthly Meeting.[1]

Elisha died 21d 2m 1845, age 79.[1]
