Biography

Jobe was the 7th of 10 children of Robert Potter and Lavina Freeman Potter, born on the family farm in Long Lake Township in Crow Wing County. [1]He grew up on the farm and likely attended rural school.[2][3] At the time of his draft registration, when he was 21, he was working on his father's farm.[4]

Jobe also graduated from the Brainerd Business College when he was 21. He then worked as an assistant in an undertaking business in Brainerd. He enrolled in an undertaking course at the University of Minnesota in January 1920, but came down with pneumonia less than one month after enrolling. He died after six days illness in the University of Minnesota Hospital. [5]

He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd Minnesota.[6]
