She married William Wilmot in about 1803 in Hertfordshire England but there needs to more research done to determine dates and the possibility of children born to Mary and William and what happened to any children once she was transported in 1811.

She was convicted at Hertford, Liberty of St Albans Quarter Sessions of stealing a wooden box and 2 books to the value of two shillings, and was transported aboard the ship ‘Friends’, to serve a seven year sentence, departing in April, 1811 and arriving at New South Wales on 29th September, 1811[1].

She married Daniel Brown, who had arrived as a Convict aboard the "Guildford" in 1812, on 30 August 1813 at Windsor, New South Wales, Australia[2]and their children were Lucy (Brown) Upton, Mary Anne (Brown) Dorset, Ann (Brown) Norris, Martha (Brown) Pearson, David Brown, and Emma (Barker) Brown.
