Biography

Abednego was born in 1738. He is the son of Benjamin Potter and Jemima Williams. ^[1]

The above birth year disagrees with Abednego's headstone, which is inscribed:

• "[broken off] Holliman Potter to the memory of his brother Abednego Potter who died Jan. 12, 1813 aged 68 years and 23 days."

From this we infer a birth date of December 18, 1744.
