Martin was born in 1854. He was the son of Martin Poulsen and Maria Nielsdatter. He passed away in 1855.
Traveled on the ship James Nesmith departing from Liverpool on 7 Jan 1855 and arriving 23 Feb 1855 in New Orleans. [1][2][3][4]
Joined the Jacob F. Secrist and Noah T. Guymon Company departing 13 Jun 1855 from the outfitting post at Mormon Grove, Kansas (Near Atchison). Jacob F. Secrist died on July 2 and Noah T. Guymon became captain of the company.
He died enroute to the Salt Lake Valley, most likely of Cholera, shortly after Jacob Secrist died.
