Hi Edmund,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles that you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Hi Edmund and James,

I've uploaded the photo and created the biography in a free space page called The Poulter Family Bible. I thought that this would be a great way to share the image in multiple biographies. I've also added it to Brownlow Poulter (1789-1829)'s profile, I hope this is ok and please feel free to edit or let me know and I will happily do it.

Kind regards, Pam

Hi Edmund and thank you for upgrading, 😊

I am very pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

It is best to start with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.

Happy tree climbing

Hello Pam,

I have 'Macular degeneration' and am finding it difficult to read all the instructions on the page. I am very interested in the subject and have a lot of information about my family's. I was very excited to see I have relatives from my grandfather's grandfather. But unfortunately cannot manage the merge. perhaps I should leave the group. What do you advise? Oh! and I am 80 years old and even typing this shirt note takes a long time.

Thanks,

Edmund Poulter.

Hi Edmund,

We have a project aimed specifically for members who are having problems with reading the pages, it's called the Accessibility Angles. I have messaged one of the leaders of the project. On my laptop I am able to increase the size of the words by holding the control button and scrolling with my mouse. If you send me a private message (just say hi - I'll know that it's you) I can reply with an audio to your email box.

I hope this helps, and I hope to hear from you soon. I'd hate to have you give up! My mother in law has mucular degeneration too and all our correspondence is in audio.

Kind regards, Pam

Hello Pam,

Hi Edmund,

To edit your own profile just click the "edit" tab (see image attached). To create and edit profiles for other family member's and ancestors you would need to upgrade to Family Member ~ this is completely free. you can upgrade to the Family Member level at any time by adding your genealogy communication preferences.

Help:Membership

To do this, click on the upgrade link on either your navigation or profile page.

Note: only parents can add children under 13.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards, Pam
