Biography

Helen Frances Pound, daughter of Orville Pound and Daisy (Pope) Pound, was born 6 March 1906 in Decatur, Macon, Illinois. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

On 29 March 1924 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, 18-year old Helen married 18-year old Bert Oxley, son of John Oxley and Dolly (McKown) Oxley. ^[1] They had three children, Maxine Mildred, William Oxley and Shirley Ann.

She married Henry Hartman on 7 October 1933 in Decatur, Macon, Illinois. ^[2]

Helen died, age 71, at Saginaw Community Hospital, Saninaw, Michigan on 17 May 1977 and was buried at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley, Oakland County, Michigan. ^{[2] [3]}
