William Thomas Pounds, son of Isham Zachariah Pounds and Harriet Elizabeth (Barnett) Pounds, was born on 20 April 1840 in Alabama.[1] He appeared on the census of 6 Dec. 1850 in the home of his parents at Pinetucky, Perry, Alabama.[2]
He married Mary J. Langford, daughter of David J. and Lucretia Langford, on 14 Oct. 1857 in Bibb County, Alabama.[3]
He was a farmer when he and Mary appeared on the census of 5 Aug. 1870 at Eastern Subdivision, Marion, Alabama.[4] He was a farmer when he and Mary appeared on the census of 23 June 1900 at Perry, Mississippi.[5]
William died on 8 Jan. 1912 probably in Mississippi and was buried at Ferrill Cemetery, Escatawpa, Jackson County, Mississippi. His memorial has a photo of his headstone and a link to that of a child.[1]
