Biography
Cecil Justin Powell was born in Freeport, Nova Scotia on April 29, 1909[1]. He was the son of Samuel Powell and Alena Prime.
At the time of the 1921 Canada Census, Samuel, Allie, George, Dorcas, Doris, Addison, Inez, Cecil, Harold, Ray, and Charles Powell were listed as living in Freeport, Nova Scotia[2].
Cecil married Alva Kenney in Westport, Nova Scotia on April 10, 1941[3]. At the time of their marriage, Cecil's occupation was listed as "Checker" for steamship lines.
