Ok so on the 1900 Census Peter O Powell is age 69 and his wife listed is Mollie A and she is age 51, and they have been married 34 years. They are currently living in the East Choctaw Nation.

Peter was born in Arkansas, and wife Mollie A was born in Missouri. this is all on the 1900 Census.

So either Peter had 2 wives (since his wife Mollie A was the receiver of his pension in 1911 after his death) or this may be a different Peter O Powell.

on the Arkansas Archives Website, it has the Confederate Pension and the Listing for Peter O Powell, has his widow as "Molly A (Powell) with the Veteran Peter O Powell, death on July 19, 1911

Powell-6337 and Powell-143 appear to represent the same person because: Shirley Ann my dear. The information on our Great-Great Grand Father is a lot more complete and proven by sources so i need you to approve my authorization to make the necessary changes as I go through the Powell line. I do have a correct listing going back to 1650 when more research will be done.
