Jesse was born about 1852. He married Luvinia Breedlove in 1872. They had one son together, Willie Powell. It is unknown when he passed away.

• Not to be confused with a Jesse Powell, b.1854 in Maryland. Also married (1875) to a Luvinia. Children Ellen and James. Living in Arkansas per 1900 Census. Will research further to see if children are from a previous marriage as Louvinia Breedlove Powell had only one child, Willie Powell.
