Biography
Allen Neil Powell was born 27 Mar 1884 and died 15 May 1963. He is buried in Palmer Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Rapides Parish, Louisiana, USA[1]
His parents were Ezekiel H. Powell (1854 - 1920) and Frances Pearly Tarver Powell (1962 - 1925).[2]
He first married Laura Elizabeth "Lela" Edwards (1882 - 1920) on 2 Sep 1906 in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
They had the following children:[3]
- Ethel Tressie Powell Harris (1908 - 1969)[3]
- Feriene Nauville Powell Hatcher (1910 - 1970)[3]
- Lora Erlene Powell Young (1912 - 1970)[3]
- Melvin O. D. Powell (1914 - 1998)[3]

- Allen Neil Powell Jr. (1918 - 1987)[3]
He married Francis Narcissy Landry (1899 - 1992) on 25 Apr 1921 in Lake Charles Louisiana.
