Their son George is listed with the family, as age 17, which places his birth in 1824. The civil parish of Bitton lies between the cities of Bristol and Bath, Gloucestershire. Bristol is located on the River Avon, a major port, and starting place for early voyages of exploration to the New World, which refers to the North and South American Continents. Oldland Common is a village in Bitton Parish and the home of the Powell family. ^[1]

George's death, age 66, was listed as Jun 1893 and registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of the 1893 Civil Registration Death records, in the Keynsham District. He likely died at the family home in Oldham.^[7]
