Biography

Green was born in 1831. Green Powell ... He passed away in 1863. He was a Confederate Soldier and died as a result of Typhoid Fever during the war near Drewey's Bluff, Virginia and was buried there. He was in Co. K, North Caroline 53rd Infantry Regiment in April 30, 1863 and was promoted to Full Corporal. Mustered out November 1862 upon his death.
