In 1715, William wrote a will 15 apr 1715.[3]

To son John and hrs., dwelling plantation, 200 A. of “Greenfield” and 50 A. “Powell's Addition.” (For desc. see will.)
To son William and hrs., “The Exchange” and the balance of “Greenfield.”
To son Levin and hrs., “The Middle” if not repurchased by John Starrat, and 112 A., “Powell's Recovery” (marsh at seaside).
To sons John and William, plantation at seaside, being part of “Powell's Lott.”
To dau. Margaret, a double portion of personal estate and certain interest in Powell's Lott marsh left testator by his father, ––.
Wife Eliza: extx. adm. Samuel Brittingham (father of William's wife).
Testator directs that he be buried according to the directions of Quakers.
