Robert George Power was born around 1827, likely in Ireland, to Robert Power, Surveyor-General of Tasmania, and Agnes Brooke.[1]
Robert George Power likely moved to Callao, Peru, sometime after 1854, when gold was discovered in the town.[2]
The last mention of him in Tasmania is a city council minutes listing him as applying to become the Superintendent of Police.
Nothing is currently known about his life in Peru.
He died on the 7th of April, 1881 in Callao Peru, or possibly El Callao in Venezuela[3]
