In 1860 a James Powers and sister Nora were living with parents Michael and Catherine nee Dunphy) . His parents were both born in Ireland and living in Clifton. Michael was a labourer. [3] In 1871 Michael and Catherine were living with 3 children, the youngest of whom, Mary has a birth record and mother's maiden name Dunphy,
