Biography

Mary was born in 1663. Mary Wheeler (born Powers) Birth: Circa 1663 - Concord Village (Littleton after 1715), Middlesex County, Massachusetts

Parents: Walter Powers, Trial (Tryal Shepard) Powers (born Shepard)
Siblings: Issac Powers, William Powers, Isaac Powers, Thomas Powers, Thomas Powers, Daniel Powers (Power), Increase Powers, Walter Powers, Jacob Powers, Sarah Barron (born Powers)

She married Lieutenant Joseph Wheeler on January 1, 1681 (alternate date: Mar 1861) in Chelmsford. Joseph was born in 1660. He was probably the son of Lieutenant Joseph Wheeler, later Captain Wheeler. Joseph had been married before.

Mary and Joseph's children included:

  1. Ruth Wheeler Robbins (1682-1761)
  2. Mary Wheeler (1684-1755)
  3. Rebecca Wheeler Higby (1686-1771)
  4. Esther Wheeler Prescott (1687-)
  5. Elizabeth Wheeler Harris (1690-1718)
  6. Jane Wheeler Doolittle (1692/93-1732),
  7. Joseph Wheeler (1694/95), and
  8. Ephraim Wheeler (1698-1760).

According to Cutter, they built the first house in Littleton.

Joseph died in 1706. She died on April 5, 1740 in Littleton. (Alternate death place: Middletown, Middlesex, Massachusetts)
