Biography
Isaac Powers Jr. was born in Champlain, Clinton County, New York, 30 Mar 1811. He was a son of Jane Wood (Caldwell) and Isaac Powers (1799 - 1868).
He married Alvira Sherwood 8/18/1835.
An 1870 census placed him in Covington, Nebraska [1].
Isaac Powers passed away in Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska, 28 Mar 1898. His grave is in Ponca Cemetery, Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska, USA [2].
Note: His online memorial header panel nothwithstanding as to his birth location in Clinton County, New York, the embedded caption states that Isaac Powers was born in Jefferson County. In either case, he was from the hardscrabble geography of the northern portion of New York State where lives were toughly hewn, particularly during the times that he lived.
