Biography

Norabel (Powers) Beltz was born in Appalachia, in Kentucky.

Norabel Powers was born on 13 Feb 1908 at Menifee county, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Mark Powers and Annie Northcutt. She can be seen with her parents and siblings in the 1910 and 1920 US census records. [1] [2] Norabel married Raymond Fielders about 1930. A marriage record has not been located. Raymond worked as a laborer in a tobacco factory in Middletown, Ohio. He was from Menifee county, Kentucky where Norabel was raised. Raymond and Norabel had one son born in 1931 who is still living. Raymond died unexpectedly in 1933 at Menifee county, Kentucky from influenza and other complications. [3] [4] He is buried at the Ferguson Cemetery, Menifee county, KY. [5] Norabel married Herman Van Beltz on May 2, 1945 at Wayne county, Indiana. [6] They lived in Warren county, Ohio most of their adult lives. Herman and Norabel have two sons and a daughter that are all living, as indicated in Herman's obituary. Norabel died on 6 Aug 1986 at Dayton, Montgomery county, OH. [7] [8] She was 78 years of age. She is buried at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, OH [9]

Herman died at age 90 at Miamisburg, Montgomery county, Ohio. He is buried beside Norabel. [10]
